Maithri is a non-governmental development organization working in the state of Kerala, in India. Maithri was constituted in April 1998 and since then, has been involved in developmental projects in some crucial sectors of our community. In 1999, Maithri was chosen for the best NGO award by the Government of Kerala for its work in the spheres of renewable energy and energy conservation. Maithri is rooted in the values of equality, justice, empowerment of the weak and marginalized, honesty, voluntarism, and transparency. We are perhaps the only NGO in the State to have voluntarily subjected ourselves to Social Auditing at the Gram Panchayat as well as at the District level.
